BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A congressional subcommittee is set to hold a field hearing in Buffalo. The Homeland Security subcommittee on counterterrorism and intelligence will discuss issues related to the U.S.-Canadian border.

Expected at Monday's hearing at the federal courthouse are the area's congressional representatives, Brian Higgins and Kathy Hochul. Subcommittee chairman Patrick Meehan of Pennsylvania and other committee members are also expected and will hear from witnesses from the Department of Homeland Security and Erie County.

Higgins is the ranking member of the subcommittee. His office says one of the topics on the agenda is information sharing between the United States and Canada and how it affects the countries' important economic relationship.
