Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- An Oneida County man pleaded guilty Wednesday to several counts of child pornography.
Brett Salmon, 42, of the town of Lee, admitted to sexually abusing a minor in his home. He further admitted to producing video and images of the offenses on four separate occasions in 2010 and 2011.
Salmon further admitted to downloading child pornography and to possessing child pornography on his computer, as well as a floppy disk seized from his home.
Salmon is scheduled to be sentenced on August 1. Salmon faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years and a maximum sentence of 50 years behind bars.
Following any term of incarceration, Salmon will be required to be on supervised release for a minimum of 5 years, and up to life. He also faces a fine of up to $250,000 and will be required to register as a sex offender.
