Oswego County man charged with DWI after reportedly striking and killing a horse
Oswego (WSYR-TV) – A Mexico man is facing drunk-driving charges after he allegedly crashed into a horse and killing it on Saturday afternoon.
Joseph Hotaling, 21, of West Stone Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated after the crash on County Route 6 in the town of New Haven.
According to the Oswego County Sheriff's Office, Hotaling's BAC was more than .08.
They say the horse was standing in the roadway when the incident occurred.
He was released on tickets returnable to Town of New Haven Court. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 5.
