Oswego (WSYR-TV) – Two Parish women are facing charges that they conspired to have a PlayStation 3 stolen so that one of the women could fraudulently report the theft of other items from her home, according to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Investigators say that 23-year-old Michelle Grass and 36-year-old Pamela Pattison, who both live in a trailer park on Route 11 in the northern Oswego County town, worked together in the plot in which Grass encouraged a third person to steal Pattison’s PlayStation 3 console.
After the console had been stolen, Pattison filed a police report indicating that in addition to the game console, the thief had taken jewelry – jewelry that never existed.
The third person, however, returned the game console in the meantime.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Grass had recruited the third person to steal the game console without letting that person in on the plot she hatched with Pattison.
Grass was charged with conspiracy in the sixth degree, a misdemeanor.
Pattison was charged with providing a false written statement, a misdemeanor.
They were both issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Mexico Court on Sept. 24.
