Syracuse (WSYR) Syracuse police report a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a delivery truck on Erie Boulevard East. Monday evening.  Police say the accident was reported at 7:10 p.m. It happened between Thompson Road and Smith Street in the vicinity of the Clark Music store.

Sgt. Tom Connellan says the victim appears to be a male in his sixties, but are not yet releasing his name.  Police are still in the early stages of their investigation, but say it appears the victim tried to cross in the middle of the busy roadway, away from any intersections with traffic lights.

This is still a developing story and we will have more as it becomes available.
