Oswego (WSYR-TV) – Police have released the results of a preliminary investigation into the car crash in Oswego that killed three people Tuesday night.

The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit say tire marks indicate the car was travelling at approximately 81 mph at the time of the crash.

The driver, 25-year-old Robert Senke, along with 24-year-old Justin Purdy and 28-year-old Antonio Mendez were killed in the crash.

The survivors of the crash, 26-year-old Donald Odin, who is the car’s registered owner, and 22-year-old Jeremy Tassie have been released from the hospital.

Police say Senke was driving the vehicle eastbound on East Albany Street when it collided with a utility pole near the intersection with Shampine Drive, near the Oswego Speedway.

According to police, the men had left Tassie's residence and were on their way to apartments located on City Line Road.
