Oswego (WSYR-TV) – Oswego (WSYR-TV) – According to Oswego Police, a man who was pulled from Lake Ontario Thursday night has died.

Police say they were notified of Victor Woolson’s death by staff at Oswego Hospital.

On Friday afternoon, a police report indicated that the 19-year-old man from Lycoming in Oswego County had been taken to Upstate University Hospital. Police said that report was inaccurate.

Police are still investigating the incident.

On Thursday night, police and emergency personnel responded to a call to the City of Oswego Water Treatment Plant regarding a person in the water who was “in distress.”

Nearly 20 minutes later, they spotted Woolson. Fire personnel pulled him from the water.
