Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse police say a gunman hit by a car is in critical condition.  Police say the incident began when 22-year-old Gregory Jones was going to buy cocaine from two people.

Police say he pulled out a gun and took the drugs.  One person then went to her father and told him a man pulled a gun on her, but she didn't mention the drugs.

They drove around looking for Jones and found him on Matson Avenue.  That's when police says Jones shot at the vehicle, causing the driver to duck, hitting the gas pedal and run over Jones, leaving him in critical condition.

Jones is charged with robbery, drugs and weapons possession.  The two people involved in the drug deal have not been charged, but the investigation is on-going.  The father who was driving the car has not been charged.
