Scriba (WSYR-TV) -- A 34-year-old man was stabbed in the neck during a fight in the town of Scriba on Thursday.

State Police say 35-year-old Daryl Graddy was stabbed in the neck with a kitchen knife during an argument with the suspect. Police did not say what led to the argument or how the two knew each other – if at all.

The suspect -- 31-year-old James Gibeau – has been charged with one count each of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say the incident happened at around 2 a.m. in the 100 block of City Line Road.

There is no word on the victim’s condition.

Gibeau is being held at the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
