There shouldn't be any joking on this subject. Most abused women are brainwashed into thinking somehow they deserved the abuse - i've taken care of many and been there myself. I was lucky to get out of an abusive relationship early - and this girls best friend was a cast iron frying pan. Now one of my kids is in a similar mess and she won't listen to anyone and has removed herself from family. Very sad.

To: Flame54: At this point, the article is vague about why this happened and it doesn't do any good to speculate; the facts aren't totally in yet. It isn't always a good idea to jump to conclusions. Many women are also scarred by men and their lawyers as well; whatever the case may be, NOTHING justifies what this whacko did.

the truth hurts, and many men are scarred for life financially, and worse, emotionally, it is no wonder they flip out. It will continue until the women and the liar lawyers get brains.

And cheeseburg this is a really sensitive topic,I'm all for humor, but not with things like this. And any man(or woman) who has committed any such crimes are going to love the humor you find in stories like this. Are you for real?

I just don't ujnderstand how people can find any humor in something like this. And there is absolutely nothing to justify his actions. Even if she laughed at hime or tried to provoke him, which most likely did not happen, it does not give a man a right to scare or threaten or injure her in any way shape or form. Its called having self-control.You can't do that at work when your boss tells you something you dont like, and because that person is your spouse, does not give the other anymore right s to control in anyway. This man has some serious issues, and it would take a great deal of therapy and help of his own seeking to ever change. The world already has enough violence because many cannot just do the right thing and walk away.If this woman was provoking him in any way, then she needs some help herself, but he still needs to learn that viuolence is not the answer. Thank God she is OK. And I am sure she is already scarred emotionally from what he has put her through. Can only imagine how scary that must ahve been for this woman.

Thunderbird, thank you for some sensibility and sensitivity. Your posting said it wonderfully. For those that joke about things like this, my thought it that it either makes them uncomfortable, or hits too close to home. Remember that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Probably high on the Devil's weed when he committed the act
