SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are on the lookout for three or four suspects in an armed robbery in the 100 block of Putnam Street Sunday night.
At about 6:25 p.m., police say the suspects forced their way into the apartment of a 27-year-old woman.
The suspects demanded money. When the woman told them she did not have any, they ransacked her apartment. The suspects stole her phone and jewelry.
Police say the suspects then forced the woman upstairs at gunpoint to a second apartment.
At the upstairs apartment, the suspects struck the 41-year-old man who lives there in the head several times with a gun. While this was going on, police say the woman was still being held at gunpoint in the doorway.
The man then pretended to be knocked out while the suspects went through his belongings. It is know known what was stolen.
The man suffered cuts and bruises from the attack.
The suspects are described as black males in their twenties and were wearing black, hooded sweatshirts and black jeans.
