Police: Woman set fire to basement, killing 33 dogs
Greene (WSYR-TV) – A 62-year-old Chenango County woman is accused of setting fire to her basement and killing 33 dogs.
New York State Police say Michele Keech of Greene set fire to her basement at 700 State Route 206, causing extensive damage.
Further investigation found 33 dogs dead in the basement area of her home.
Keech has been charged with arson and felony aggravated cruelty to animals.
