Police: Woman stabbed three times in attempt to thwart robbery

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police are looking for a suspect they say stabbed a 27-year-old woman during an attempted robbery at a local pizzeria Wednesday night.

Investigators report the victim was stabbed multiple times by the suspect in the parking lot behind Dominos Pizza, located at 126 Harvard Place just before 7 p.m.

The victim was taken to Upstate University Hospital with stab wounds to the neck and the back of her ear. She is expected to be okay.

Police say the victim punched the suspect when he attempted to steal her car. The suspect then armed himself with a knife, according to police.

The suspect has been described as a teenaged black male, between 5’6” and 5’7” tall. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and dark pants.

An investigation is ongoing.
