Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police have charged a second suspect who they believe was involved in the shooting of a prominent Christian Brothers Academy baseball coach during the robbery of his North Side liquor store.

Police believe Delvon Harley, 23, was also involved in the armed robbery of two females on Taft Avenue.

Police charged 19-year-old Shireff Williams last week in connection to the liquor store robbery. Police say Williams entered Salina Liquors and Wine on Wednesday night and shot the owner - Thomas Dotterer - in the eye.

They charged Williams with robbery in the first degree, assault in the first degree, and possession of stolen property in that robbery case.

On Tuesday, they charged Harley with robbery in the first degree, assault in the first degree, and criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the liquor store robbery.

On the same night, two women had their purses stolen on Taft Avenue by three suspects, two of whom were armed. Police also arrested Deoz Miller-Harris, 18, in connection to alleged Taft Avenue incident.
