Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police have identified the victim in a deadly Sunday night shooting on the city’s East Side.

Police say they found 20-year-old Darrell Mobley Jr. of Syracuse lying on his back on the sidewalk outside of the Parkside Commons apartment complex at 1811 East Fayette St.

They arrived at the scene after hearing gun shots.

Mobley was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he later died.

A witness said that a black male was seen running northbound from the scene from an apartment complex.

Syracuse Police are asking anyone with information that could help their investigation to call (315) 442-5222.
