Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse Police are looking for a suspect after a bank was robbed downtown on Friday.

The robbery occurred around 12:25 p.m. at an HSBC Bank location on West Washington Street.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. He did not display a weapon during the robbery.

He then ran away from the scene, fleeing westbound on West Washington Street.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 40s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build. During the incident he was wearing black dress clothes and a fedora style hat.

Police say they have not arrested a suspect. 9WSYR.com will have more information as it becomes available.
