Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Police are searching for two men who may have been involved in an attempted abduction overnight in Syracuse.

Two girls, ages 13 and 14, left a home on the 300 block of Lemoyne Avenue at 2:00 a.m. and headed toward Washington Square Park where the men approached and began talking with the girls.

The teenagers told police the men tried to force them into a white van, described as a rusty, older-model, cargo/utility type van with double doors in the rear.

Investigators are looking for the men and offered these descriptions:

1) A white male, in his 20s with brown hair, wearing a red t-shirt and jeans.

2) A hispanic male, also in his 20's with brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt and plaid shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department at 315-442-5222.
