Cortland (WSYR-TV) – Power has been restored to most of the buildings on the SUNY Cortland campus impacted by a power outage on Monday.

The outage was caused by an electrical explosion in the basement of Clark Hall just before 1 p.m.

No one was injured during the incident.

The school said eight of the nine buildings – including the Child Care Center – are back to normal and classes will resume today.

The Neubig Hall dining facility will reopen on later on Tuesday, according to the school.

Crews are still trying to restore power to Clark Hall. The school says they will remain on site.

Students at Clark Hall were taken to local hotels for the night. The school paid for the students’ rooms.
