Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- You may have seen the notices online and in stores. Now many of you want the “Real Deal” on a change in Price Chopper’s Fuel AdvantEdge Program.
Starting this Sunday, customers will earn 10 cents off per gallon of fuel for every $100 they spend using an AdvantEdge card. This incentive is currently available for only $50 in purchases. So why the change?
Price Chopper says it’s turning down the volume on fuel incentives so it can invest more in lowering the price of food across the store.
“We can’t control the volatility of fuel pricing,” Price Chopper President and CEO Jerry Golub said. “But we can leverage more control over the cost of food pricing.”
Price Chopper will lower the price of more than 10,000 popular products through “Price Chopped” seasonal promotions, “Every Day Low Price” tags on grocery staples and additional weekly “Price Breaks.”
