Radio station reviewing policies after pregnancy hoax

LONDON (AP) - The company that owns the radio station behind a prank call about the Duchess of Cambridge's pregnancy says it is reviewing its broadcast practices.

The board of Southern Cross Austereo met Sunday to discuss a harsh letter from the hospital that fell for the call. The nurse who took the call, Jacintha Saldanha, died three days after the hoax - sparking anger at the 2DayFM radio station.

Southern Cross Austereo chairman Max Moore-Wilton says in a letter to the chairman of King Edward VII's Hospital that the company will cooperate with any investigation.

He says, "I can assure you we are taking immediate action and reviewing the broadcast and processes involved."

Two DJs impersonated Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles and received confidential details about the former Kate Middleton's medical information.
