Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Former Syracuse University men’s basketball coaching assistant Bernie Fine is suing ESPN, according to an Associated Press report
The disgraced coach was the subject of an investigative piece by the sports network that featured two men who accused Fine of sexually abusing them when they were boys.
The US Attorney’s office investigated the allegations and sought other alleged victims. They concluded that no charges would be filed.
According to the Associated Press, Fine is seeking undefined damages. They say he filed a “summons with notice” in Onondaga County in November.
