Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A routine traffic stop in Syracuse led to the seizure of more than 17 ounces of crack-cocaine just before seven Thursday night.

Syracuse Police allege Charles Green was drunk when he was pulled over in the 600 block of Tallman Avenue for backing up unsafely.

The officer initiating the stop also noticed what looked like crack-cocaine inside the car and after a search, found 17 ounces of the drug and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The drugs had a street value of just below $50,000, police said.

Green is facing a number of drug charges, as well as driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated DWI. Police say Green had a .08 blood alcohol content when he was pulled over.
