Sequester cuts impact DFAS in Rome
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Sequester cuts continue to roll through Central New York as furloughs have begun at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Rome.
From the managers to custodians, all 1,000 employees are being forced to take off one day a week, which equals 20 percent of employees’ pay.
DFAS workers will face furloughs from now until the end of the federal fiscal year, which is September 30.
