Snow buries Central New York 12-27-2012

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- There were dozens of minor accidents across the area due to the weather Thursday, but one crash in Geddes sent two people to the hospital.

Sheriff’s deputies say ice caused 19-year-old Alyssa Fleury to lose control on the 695 South Bridge from 690 West, which caused her to hit the guardrail.

Another driver, who’s not being identified, pulled over to help her. Deputies say when he got out of the car, a pickup truck slid into him. He suffered multiple fractures and was transported to University Hospital.

Fluery was also taken to the hospital with a head injury.

Moments later, two other vehicles spun out, however, no one else was hurt and no tickets were issued.
