Sheriff's Office: Hunting accident sends one person to the hospital
ELLISBURG, NY (WSYR-TV) - A male victim is in the hospital after a hunting accident on Saturday.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says it happened about 8:00 a.m. in a wooded area on Woodpecker Lane in the Town of Ellisburg.
In a release, the Sheriff's Office says a male was shot by another hunter and flown to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
The victim, who has not been identified, is listed in serious condition.
The incident is still under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and the DEC.
