Clay (WSYR-TV) – Sheriff's deputies responded to a bank robbery reported in the town of Clay Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported at an M&T Bank located at the corner of West Taft and Buckley roads just before 2 p.m.

Sheriff's Investigators say the suspect - a white male in his 20s - handed the teller a note indicating that he was armed with a handgun.

The suspect fled the bank with cash. The Sheriff's Office says the suspect ran away in the direction of Clay Park.

The suspect was described as approximately 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds.

During the incident, he was wearing a black Pittsburgh Pirates hat, a black fleece jacket, black pants, and boots.

No one was injured.
