Social Security benefits to increase
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The American Institute for Economic Research estimates benefits will increase next year.
Recipients can expect a bump of 1.5 to 1.7 percent in their benefits. That’s less than half the cost of living increase received last year when inflation was higher.
The Labor Department will release its September inflation reading next week.
The Social Security Administration will announce the 2013 benefit increase at that time.
