Elbridge (WSYR-TV) -- State Police are looking for a man they say approached three children who were playing in a driveway at a home on Bennetts Corners Road in the Town of Elbridge Friday morning.

Police say the children were waiting for the bus between 8:30 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. when the man approached them.

The man was driving a gray or tan 2011 Toyota Tundra quad-cab pickup truck with yellow license plates, according to police. He is described as an Asian male, in his 40s, 5-foot-7, about 200 pounds, with short hair. He was wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans and was holding a red balloon on a string when he approached the children.

Police say the man dropped the balloon, got into his truck, and left the scene when he was confronted by the children’s parents.

He was last seen heading north on Rt. 321, towards State Route 5. Police say a white female with blonde hair was seen in the passenger’s seat.

If you have any information that could help police in this case, you’re asked to call State Police in Elbridge at (315) 689-6334.
