Superintendent recommends cutting executive principal
Liverpool (WSYR-TV) - Liverpool Schools Superintendent Doctor Richard Johns is recommending that the high school's executive principal position be eliminated.
Johns says he no longer supports the administrative structure at the high school. The current executive principal, Greg Avellino, will resign at the end of the school year.
Dr. Johns says he discussed options with Avellino, who felt it would be best to step down. Dr. Johns wants to implement a structure that moves principals closer to the students and holds each accountable for a smaller number of students academic success.
