Syracuse man charged after dog is taken away

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – SPCA investigators have taken a dog from a Syracuse man who they say was neither feeding nor providing medical care for it.

Leroy Hackett, 50, has been charged with failure to provide medical care to an animal and failure to provide sustenance to an animal, both violations.

He was issued an appearance ticket to be brought to city court on Oct. 15.
