Syracuse police investigating stabbing and attempted robbery

The Syracuse Police Department is currently investigating an attempted robbery and stabbing.

It happened Thursday in the 100 block of Depalma Avenue around 9:40 p.m.

The victim, 47-year-old Daniel Cuddy of Syracuse, who is described as developmentally handicapped was approached by a suspect who then demanded money. 

Cuddy refused to give the man money and was then stabbed multiple times.

He's currently at Upstate University Hospital and is listed in fair condition.

The suspect is described as a black, dark-skinned male in his 30's.

Police say he was wearing a white shirt and brown pants.

He was also riding a red BMX style bike.
