Syracuse students learn life lessons from former NFL players
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Nearly 200 Syracuse school children heard a powerful message from former NFL players on Friday.
The students spent the day at Onondaga Community College as ambassadors to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, which is in partnership with the American Dairy Association and the NFL.
Former players urged the students to “be the change” as they rotated through a series of wellness stations, learning how to cook healthy meals, dance, do football drills and attempted a boot camp obstacle course.
The program will stay connected with local schools during the summer months and inspire healthy changes well into the school year.
