Bloomfield, N.Y. (WHAM/WSYR) - Seven Bloomfield teens were hospitalized after a car accident on Pond Road in East Bloomfield Tuesday night.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, 19-year-old Alexander Brown, of Bloomfield, was driving a truck on Pond Road when he failed to negotiate a sharp right-hand curve. Officials say the truck rolled at least three times, eventually coming to a rest upright on the shoulder of Pond Road.
An investigator said two of the teens were wearing seatbelts. Four sisters were ejected from the car.
The Sheriff's Office released the names of the victims and their conditions Wednesday morning:
- Twins: Jessica Henry, - Joelle Henry, 17 -- Guarded Condition
- Meagan Henry, 13 -- Guarded Condition
- Haley Dewey, 15 -- Satisfactory
Morgan Henry 16, Alexander Brown, 19 and Joshua Bock, 18 have been discharged after being checked out at the hospital and determined to be satisfactory.
One of the girls was found on the side of the road, and at least two were found lying in a field.
The female victims are all in Strong Memorial Hospital. Morgan and Jessica Henry were taken to the hospital by Mercy Flight.
The cab of the truck had seating for up to six people, according to officials.
Officials say speed was likely a factor. They do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a contributing factor.
