Two children in serious condition after stroller rolls into the Erie Canal
Rochester (WHAM/WSYR-TV) -- Rochester police, firefighters and emergency medical crews helped rescue two children from the Erie Canal Wednesday afternoon at Genesee Valley Park.
Police say a family from Florida was visiting the Ronald McDonald House and decided to go for a walk near the water.
The father told police the stroller got away from him and rolled into the canal.
A boy and a girl under the age of 10 were in the stroller at the time.
Three female University of Rochester students in their first year of medical school jumped into the water to help.
