NORTH NORWICH, NY (WSYR-TV) - The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says a 13-year-old reported missing in Whaupaunaucau State Forest in North Norwich was found alive late Sunday night.
His name has not been released.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office says the teenager was hunting with his father when he disappeared.
They boy’s father told the Sheriff’s Office that he searched for his son for about two hours, before reporting him missing just after 6 p.m.
Search teams from Chenango, Onondaga and Madison County were assisting in the search Sunday night.
New York State Forest Rangers, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Lifenet Helicopter, the Norwich Police Department and the Norwich Fire Fire Department also helped with the search.
