Verona man charged with sexually abusing an infant

Verona (WSYR-TV) – A Verona man has been arrested on charges that he sexually abused a 1-month-old.

State Police began investigating the case when the Oneida Healthcare Facility contacted them regarding injuries suffered by the female infant.

Police charged Andrew Potter, 4868 Spring Rd., with sexual abuse in the second degree, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Potter was arraigned in Village of Canastota Court and taken to the Madison County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

He is scheduled to return to court on May 24.
