SYRACUSE (WSYR-TV) -Thousands of high school bands did their best to impress the judges at the 36th Annual New York State Field Band conference at the Carrier Dome Sunday night.
Locally, ten high school marching bands worked to win the Governor's Cup, which is awarded to the highest scorer. Each band performed in front of ten judges for seven minutes.
The winners from Sunday's competition in the National Division include:
1st place- West Genesee
4th place- Liverpool
5th place- Cicero-North Syracuse
7th place- Central Square
8th place- Oswego
In Small School Class 1:
2nd place- East Syracuse Minoa
5th place-Jordan Elbridge
In Large school Class 2:
1st place: Baldwinsville
In Large school Class 3:
2nd place- Auburn
In Small school Class 2:
5th place- Phoenix
