DeWitt (WSYR-TV) - We've received several calls and emails about crews digging near I-481 where it meets Jamesville Road, and at the on-ramp from Route 5 in Dewitt.

The State Department of Transportation says crews have been digging foundation holes for large poles the DOT will use to mount cameras on.

These cameras will be a part of the continuing effort to link all of the Syracuse-area highways into one connected, intelligent highway system.

Camera feeds will originate from those spots and transmit images to the state's 511NY.org website.
