Woman hit by car identified
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Police say 42-year old Jody Garofalo of Phoenix is in critical condition after she was hit by a drunk driver late Friday night in Syracuse.
48-year old Russell Mike of Syracuse has been charged with vehicular assault, DWI, criminal possesion of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation.
The crash happened around 11:00 Friday night in the 1100 block of Wolf Street.
Garofalo was taken to Upstate Hospital.
Police say Mike was taken to the Justice Center and will be arraigned sometime Saturday morning.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
