Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A fundraiser will be held at the Palace Theater in Syracuse on Dec. 5 for Easton Friedel, a 3-month-old afflicted with a rare skin condition.

Money raised from the event will go to the family to help defray medical costs.

The child was born in August with Epidermolysis Bullosa, or EB.

Children who suffer from it are often called “Butterfly babies,” as the condition leaves their skin as fragile as the tissue of butterflies’ wings.

Easton recently returned from an extended stay at a Cincinnati children's hospital where he received specialized care.

Admission to the event is $15 per person or $25 per couple. It will run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

Donations can also be made directly to the Friedel family by visiting the official Facebook page.
