Waterloo (WSYR-TV) – A town of Waterloo woman was killed in an accident Thursday evening.

According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Jean White was driving north on Brewer Road in the town of Waterloo around 5:55 p.m. when she failed to yield the right of way at the intersection with State Route 96.

Her vehicle was struck by a truck traveling east.

White was pulled out of her vehicle by emergency personnel and airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester where she was pronounced.

The driver and passengers in the truck were checked at the scene. They sustained only minor injuries.

A portion of State Route 96 was closed for approximately two hours while the Sheriff’s Office investigated the accident.
