14 bags of heroin seized in Oswego County drug bust

Oswego (WSYR-TV) -- A drug bust in Oswego County netted two arrests and 14 bags of heroin Wednesday morning.

The bust took place at an apartment located at 257 Syracuse Avenue in Oswego.

An investigation into the illegal sale of heroin at the home resulted in the search.

Police arrested 40-year-old German Sanchez and 40-year-old Maria L. Cancel, who reside at the address.

Sanchez is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, with intent to sell. He is being held at the Oswego Correctional Facility without bail.

Cancel is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. She is due back in court on March 14.
