14-year-old accused of starting fire that destroyed building
Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Auburn Police have arrested a teenage boy who they say set fire to a building owned by a metal processing plant, destroying it.
According to police, the boy was playing with fire inside the Auburn Metal Processing storage building on North Street when it spread to plastics stored there.
As the fire grew out of control, the boy ran away. The boy will be charged with arson in the fourth degree – recklessly damaging a building by means of fire – a felony.
