16-year-old Tompkins County girl taken to hospital after being struck by a car
Dryden (WSYR-TV) – A 16-year-old girl was taken to a hospital after being struck by a car in Tompkins County on Tuesday morning.
According to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office, the teen was crossing State Route 13 at the intersection with Kirk Road in the town of Dryden when she was hit by a southbound 1998 Chevrolet.
Deputies responded to the scene at 7:48 a.m.
Witnesses told Sheriff’s Deputies that the teen was trying to cross the road to board a TCAT Bus.
The teen was taken to a Syracuse hospital by emergency personnel in Dryden.
The Sheriff’s Office has not indicated the victim’s condition.
They also declined to say whether the driver whose vehicle struck her would be ticketed.
