18-year-old injured in hit & run accident; driver sought

Oswego (WSYR-TV) -- An 18-year-old man was hospitalized after a hit and run accident in the city of Oswego on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 on Liberty Street, north of Bronson Street near Breitbeck Park, according to police.

Police say the man was struck from behind by a red, four door sedan.

The driver did not stop and continued north on Liberty Street, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with what police are calling non-life threatening injury.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident or know anything that could help in the investigation to call them at 315-342-8120.
