Geddes (WSYR-TV) -- If you’re already thinking ahead to summer, or just need a break from winter – the 2013 Central New York Boat Show might be just what you need.

It’s the largest event of its kind in Upstate New York and it kicked off a four day run at the fairgrounds Wednesday afternoon.

More than 500 boats - including cruisers, sport boats, pontoons and personal watercraft - are for sale and a few luxury yachts are on display as well.

The U.S. Coast Guard is also on hand to train and certify young boaters. You’ll also be able to sign up for seminars with fishing guides and yacht captains or check out a life jacket and canoe safety demonstration.

The Central New York Boat show runs until 9 p.m. Wednesday; from 1-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, while children 13 and younger can attend free of charge.
