Cicero (WSYR-TV) - Three people were taken to the hospital and a fourth had to be rescued by police, firefighters and neighbors after a massive house fire late Thursday night in Cicero.

The fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. along the 6100 block of Wynmoor Drive, just off Route 31, near Walgreens.

Initial reports from the scene said four people were trapped inside the home. When police and firefighters arrived three of the four people escaped the burning home.

A fourth person was trapped on the second floor. Police say he broke a window to get out and then was helped out of the burning home.

There's no word on the condition of the three people hospitalized. A firefighter on the scene had to be treated for heat exhaustion.

Investigators think the fire started in the back of the home and caused a propane tank to exploded. The exact cause of the fire is still not known.

If you're interested in helping the family, donations can be dropped off at 8482 Farm Gate Path, in Cicero.
