Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Thirty missionaries returned from Haiti to Hancock Airport Tuesday morning to a warm greeting from friends and family.

The group, from the Abundant Life Christian Center, worked in Haiti's 90-degree heat to demolish a church building that had been heavily damaged by the earthquake. They also worked to provide assistance to those who lived nearby.

Pastor Joe Coudriet says that as they worked, the people of Haiti rallied around them. "Attendance had increased by 400 people, and that's a testimony to what the people saw happening."

In all, the group spent ten days in Haiti, and many say that a lot of work still remains.
