Cortland (WSYR-TV) – Cortland Police have arrested a third suspect they say participated in a brutal gang assault that left a man in critical condition.

On July 28, police say they responded to a report of a fight at 64 Main St., Cortland, and found 25-year-old Robert Miller unconscious.

Miller was taken to Cortland Regional Medical Center and transferred to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with severe head injuries. According to police, Miller is still listed in critical condition.

On Thursday around 4 p.m., Cortland Police charged Mason Reeve, 23, of Ely Drive, Binghamton, with gang assault in the first degree, assault in the second degree, and conspiracy in the fourth degree, all felonies.

He was arraigned in Cortland City Court and taken to Cortland County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 10.

Police are still looking for 25-year-old Antoine Brown. They have issued an arrest warrant for him for gang assault in the first degree. He is believed to be in Queens, where he has family.

Two other men – Marcus Delige and Kaywon Pittman – have already been taken into custody.

Police have not indicated whether or not they believe more suspects were involved in the assault.
