4 charged with gang assault at Camillus Denny’s

Camillus (WSYR-TV) – Camillus Police have charged four teenagers with felony gang assault after an investigation into an incident at a Denny’s location that ended with a man and two women being taken to the hospital.

According to Camillus Police, a verbal dispute inside the diner spilled out into the parking lot where the four young men beat the three people. All three were taken to the hospital.

Police charged all four with second degree gang assault:

  • Kyle Bliss, 17, Case Street, Solvay
  • Wajeeh Hasan, 18 Howlett Hill Road, Marcellus
  • Sean Howard,17, South Salina Street, Syracuse
  • Christopher Owens, 19, South Avenue, Solvay

Bliss was also charged with misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief. They were arraigned in Camillus Justice Court and taken to the Justice Center in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

The victims didn’t know their alleged assailants.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on July 28, but the arrests were not made until Tuesday.
